In the heart of Østerdalen, you will find the GaiaCenter — a place for wonderful experiences, local food, and genuine encounters between people.

We also provide a venue for external course leaders, gatherings, and retreats.

Many people say that holding a course at Gaia offers a unique experience—a sense of peace, closeness, and warmth that creates a special atmosphere for the gathering.

We emphasize the local and locally sourced—in our ingredients, partnerships, and experiences.

The Gaiagrenda hamlet

Around the center, Gaiagrenda is taking shape—a vibrant community of people who wish to live closer to nature.

Here, we build houses, cultivate the soil, share knowledge and experiences, and explore new ways of creating a sustainable life together.

Our guests talk about wonderful food, meaningful encounters, and a sense of peace in their bodies—and many say that Gaia feels like a place they are coming home to.

If you are looking for a place to hold a course or gathering—or for a community to visit or be part of—you are warmly welcome to get in touch.
(Although some of us enjoy practising our english, the main language in the community is norwegian, both spoken and written.)
